Captain "Skip" Doug Mcguire. "I've been fishing this week and have the boats geared up and ready for the charter season. I'm fishing for togs, flounder, and stripers now, and booking the month of June fast with mostly regular customers who love the light tackle striper action with live bait." I still have some good dates left but their filling up fast. The months of late May and all of June are the best time for the stripers. The action is fast and furious with most trips having non-stop action. These are 4 hour trips, with only a 3 minute ride to the south jetty, that leaves a lot of fishing time.
I will also be fishing all the wrecks and reefs looking for those monster togs. Also this year when the water warms up, I will be doing near shore light tackle shark trips, I did some last year and they were very popular especially with the young ones.
